Two sexy male vampires have a kinky little sex scene with handcuffs. This is more like a short scene rather than a short story. I'm hesitant to reveal more about the story between Seth and his Sire Alaric because it may be considered a spoiler.

In a nutshell, Alaric and Seth have some sort of abusive history. They are now lovers who don't want to upset the status quo. They still do want rough sex and Seth convinces Alaric to introduce it back into their life together.

There are a few reasons why I rated this story as a two star. First, it was roughly ten pages. It was too short a story. Second, I felt as though I was dropped into the final act in a play or an epilogue in a long angst filled story. There are references to history between the two characters as if the reader should know this information already. The reader has two choices, either make some assumptions about their past or ignore the information as irrelevant. The first choice allows the reader to understand the situation a bit better, but not comprehend nor empathize with the anger. The second choice would leave the reader befuddled.

The sex scene is not bad, but I felt rushed and unfinished. I wasn't able to bond with the characters because there was so little time to become engaged with them. As an appetizer, this book does whet my appetite. For a meal, I am left starving. I suggest for future short stories, more than a sex scene would help generate more interest.

Based upon the situation and conflict, I believe this is an author I would enjoy reading. I would still be willing to try a lengthier story, at least a novella for a better grasp of this author's writing style. I can only recommend this book to die hard vampire lovers who want to read a scene of handcuffed male on male sex.
