Wow, wow, wow!

This book blew me away. I easily became immersed in this parallel supernatural world with all sorts of paranormal creatures in hiding. This story was mostly about witches but there were dashes of other mystical beings and plenty of magic itself.

It's almost time for Summer to marry the man her parents have chosen for her. The pairing is a result of duty to carrying on their witch bloodline and not one of love. In fact, Summer can't stand the fact that she is about to be bound to a man she doesn't like, who will strip her of her fierce independence.

But when Summer comes across Kian, a human, her world begins to shift. A visit from a goddess sets in motion a drastic change of destiny for both Summer and Kian as they discover their true place in the world and with each other. As our couple realize the truth of their connection, ruthless villains threaten their whirlwind romance and the future of the supernatural world hangs in the balance.

I'm not even sure where to begin. I loved everything about this story. The characters were so real that I could almost reach out and touch them. Summer's struggle to convince herself that she couldn't stray from her predetermined fate was just as fulfilling to witness as Kian's battle within himself to overcome his demons and realize his true purpose in life.

Every word added to the story and I rarely find myself as glued to a digital page as I did with this book. There is a little history of the supernatural, a lot of vivid imagery as we learn how magic is woven into nature, and a whole lot of passionate romance to liven up the story. It was steadily paced and filled with magical elements, along with a fantastic pairing in Summer and Kian. Their chemistry was scorching hot and entirely what I was hoping for.

In closing...
I will be impatiently tapping my foot as I wait for the next book to be released. I need to know what happens with Winter and the new direction that the paranormal creatures are headed in. Five amazing stars!
