Contemporary Romance, Erotic Romance
You've been warned.
Irreverent, cocky, playful and naughty.
He's not the guy you date.
He's the one night stand.
The one your mother warned you about.
The one your body craves.
You'd think the man who called me succulent would want to strip me down and spread me out on his bed—like he's done with countless others.
But he passed on my offer….
Just like I'd once passed on his.
He's wary, like I am.
He's broken, like I am.
And everyone knows two broken parts can't ever make a whole.
Tahoe and I are strictly friends.
So I distract myself with other men.
He doesn't think my new man is good enough. This blond blue-eyed beast doesn't think any man is—himself included.
But the more time we spend together, the more confused I feel.
I'm trying to open myself to love.
Yet I'm quickly realizing that the only man I want is Tahoe Roth.
The one man who will surely break my heart.

When Gina met Tahoe, it was more like hate at first sight, well, at least on her part anyway. Tahoe Roth was an arrogant, spoiled, rich, walking wet dream and he knew it. He was everything she detested. And though Gina turned up her nose at any suggestion of hooking up with Tahoe, she had to admit there was something about him besides the obvious. Plus, she couldn't exactly pretend that he didn't exist, seeing that their best friends were now married. However, getting horizontal with the infamous Tahoe Roth may help her scratch that nagging itch, but it would definitely do a number on her heart.
When Tahoe laid his baby blues on Gina, naturally his libido went into overdrive. She was sexy as hell, had attitude in spades and gave him a run for his money. And while she was the bullseye on his sexual radar, he was warned by his best bud to steer clear of her. Tahoe was a known heart-breaker and Gina was far too close to be just a random roll in the hay. So he played nice and he and Gina became friends with no benefits. Despite all his trysts with the entire female population of Chicago, Tahoe can't stop thinking about the succulent, dark-haired beauty. But deep down inside he knows he's not good enough for her, and he can't give her what she wants.
Gina and Tahoe…these two were pure fire! The sparks flew the first time they met, and I couldn't wait to see what would happen between them. Their contest of wills turned into an erotic dance of "will they or won't they." Just when you thought they'd give in to their attraction, they'd pull back, regain their composure and pretend like nothing happened. It was pure genius on Ms. Evans' part. It would have been simple to have them sleep together. But then what? We'd probably end up with the usual love ‘em and leave ‘em cookie cutter heartbreak story. However, Ms. Evans took her time with this couple. She unmasked Gina and Tahoe one layer at a time. We got to see parts of them that they hid from everyone, even themselves. One wouldn't think that a story called LADIES MAN would become unexpectedly touching and sweet, but it was.
Ms. Evans' writing style is so effortlessly smooth that I became totally immersed in these characters. This book had heart, soul and heat…lots of heat, and I loved it!
