Abra cadabra… My name is Margaux Asher—and I'm in love. Crazy, right? Me, the girl who grew up in the lap of luxury and the shadow of cynicism, is now head-over-heels for an apple farmer's son who rocks my world and steals my breath. He's seen the woman beneath the princess, and loves me—for me. Trouble is…he wants all of me. But how can I commit that to him if I don't know what "me" is? There are pieces missing—and not just mine. Until Michael opens up and shares all of himself, we're a great opening explosion, but not a lasting magic tale. Don't look at the man behind the curtain…

My name is Michael Pearson—and I'm in love. Margaux is the fire of my dreams, the fulfillment of my fantasies, and the woman who's asked the impossible. When your past has been hell, how is it possible to walk through it again? But fighting it isn't an option—especially when the ghosts rise up and battle back. Especially when fate issues an ultimatum: battle back, or lose her forever. Can I do it? Is love enough to change a person's soul, or will our magic become a forgotten moment for us both?

Michael and Margaux are back. Theirs is a tumultuous love story filled with humor, passion, and hot sex. While they try to move forward, the ghosts from their pasts just won't let go. When Michael goes head to head with his ultimate foe, he realizes that not even he can keep his loved ones safe. Despite Margaux's attempts to assuage his feelings of hopelessness, Michael makes a decision that could pull them apart forever.

This story started off with a bang, but somewhere along the line, it kind of fizzled for me. As in the third installment, I felt Michael and Margaux's story lacked the major dramatic components of the first two books. Don't get me wrong. They are a hot couple, in a let's-get-naked-and-play-Twister kind of hot. Seriously, they will make you blush. However, I like a little drama with my hot sex. I felt there were a couple of missed opportunities to bring that drama to the forefront, especially where Michael's uncle was concerned.

All in all this was a decent book. I was happy that Margaux finally let her guard down completely and for that she was greatly rewarded. It appears the ice princess has finally thawed! Michael's penchant for running away is a bit juvenile and irritating. I do hope he's done putting on his track shoes because if I were Margaux, I'd have serious apprehensions. That being said, this book left us with great news for both couples. Yes, Claire and Killian make appearances, which is always a good thing in my opinion! It also opened the door for a sweet follow-up book. Hopefully, if it's on the horizon, it will include both couples equally.

Victoria Blue and Angel Payne are great storytellers, and I look forward to their next collaboration.
