BDSM, Erotic Romance, Ménage or more

When Amelia stumbles upon Marcia and Derrick's BDSM lifestyle, she doesn't realize it will lead to her escaping a loveless, dying marriage. She thought that was the stuff of romance books, not real life. Even better, she didn't realize Marcia and Derrick operated a BDSM club and can introduce her to their friends.

Don and Carl are coworkers and platonic roommates. Divorced Carl walked in on his wife's affair, and never-married Don hasn't met the woman to make him "risk half his stuff." The men agree to play with Marcia's friend as a favor. Amelia's new to BDSM—the last thing she needs is to get hooked up with a predator.

After some obvious meddling by Marcia, the men ask Amelia to be their roommate while she goes through her divorce. Once the dust clears, will she want more from the men, or will they be forced to say good-bye to someone they never realized they needed in their lives?

When married couples grow apart, it usually ends in a divorce. When a marriage starts out on false advertisement, it usually results in misery. Unless the couple both want to make a change, it is hell on earth.

Amelia is unhappy. She sees how her husband's family all have contentious marriages. Her sisters-in-law constantly harp on her husband's brothers. She thinks this is as good as it gets. But then why is her friend Marcia so happy with her marriage? Why does Marcia's husband, Derrick, demonstrate his love so visibly that even Amelia can see it?

I thought this book was going to be about where one spouse finds out about kink and decide that they want it. The other one is not willing and then the marriage ends. It is rare that I ever hear of one partner in a marriage who is kinky and the other one is adamantly not remain together. These usually do not end well. Ms. Dalton shows a depressing variation to that theme. Amelia's marriage dies a slow painful death due to neglect. The things Amelia experience at her husband's hands are wince worthy from an outsider's perspective. When Amelia meets Don and Carl, she really learns how relationships can be.

The BDSM in this story is yet another view of how a newbie can enter into this lifestyle. People come from all walks of life. Some of them have more baggage than others. The hope of making a change and finding oneself is what makes the BDSM in this book so good The menage between Amelia, Carl and Don is hot and sweet. The way Carl and Don become intimate with Amelia without physical interaction is spot on for building a deeper relationship. Loved seeing Amelia learning about a whole new world when it comes to being in a deeply committed relationship based on mutual love and respect.

This erotic romance is recommended for those who have given up hope; it is never too late to make a change.
